The Israelis say it was an accident. They say Hezbollah was firing rockets from the shelter's position. They say they warned civilians to evacuate (so blame the victims; it's their own fault they were killed??) Did it not occur to them that some civilians had no means nor money to evacuate? That their war ships had bombed roads and bridges so that evacuees had to take a circuitous route through back ways in order to flee, which added many hours and hardships to their flight? And that their planes bombed and fired rockets upon convoys of fleeing civilians, in spite of them flying white flags?( ANOTHER POST ON THIS!!)

The Israelis were not alone in committing this type of atrocity. To our shame, our military did the same thing in Iraq when it bombed the Amiriga Shelter. It was built of steel reinforced, thick concrete as a bomb shelter in which mostly women and children took refuge from the bombing. The U.S. was aware of it and its coordinates. Yet it alone was targeted and the much vaunted pin point accuracy of their bombing proved true. The first bomb blasted a hole in the roof; the second precisely entered the hole and massacred the Iraqis sheltered there.

The recent atrocity at Qana was not the first massacre at Qana. In April 1996 the Israelis commited the same Crimes Against Humanity and shelled civilians who had taken shelter in a UN compound. They also targeted civilian cars and ambulances, just as they have done in this 2006 war.

LEBANESE CHILD INJURED IN ISRAELI ATTACK ON EVACUEE CONVOY ________________________________________________

Dr. Shaik Ubaid is an American, a New York physician. Dr. Ibaid is a sensitive, caring, compassionate man and a devout Muslim. The following url is to an article published in November 2004 but is as relevant today as it was then.

Only the battles have changed. Wars are much the same at any time, any place. Bombs fall, weapons are fired, cities are destroyed, people die. Today, as in 2004, Arab mothers clutch their children in terror of the horrific events unfolding in their country. American mothers live in fear for the lives and safety of their sons and daughters sent to a war in a foreign country. Husbands and fathers strive to keep their families together and safe. Blood and death, pain and grief, terror and destruction remain the same. Between Arab and American and Israelite, there is no difference in warm red blood, salty tears, and cries of grief and pain. All are members of the human family, and as such, all are brothers and sisters.

Dr. Ubaid wrote this during a dark night of his soul and in it, he echoes the thoughts and prayers of many of us.

ISRAEL DROPPED LEAFLETS ADVISING CIVILIANS TO EVACUATE AND FLEE CTIES AND TOWNS. THEN BOMBED HIGHWAYS, ROADS, BRIDGES WHICH MADE EVACUATION DIFFICULT. MANY FLED, TRYING TO REACH SAFETY AS BEST THEY COULD. nOTE HOW LOADED DOWN THIS TRUCK IS WITH HUMAN CARGO. THESE EVACUEES WERE FORTUNATE. THEY MADE IT SAFELY TO TYRE. THEY WERE FORTUNATE IF THEY DIDN'T THEN BECOME CASUALTIES WHEN THE iSRAELIS BOMBED TYRE.
THIS LEBANESE JEEP AND CIVILIAN VAN WERE STRUCK BY ISRAELI MUNITIONS. THE JEEP IS CLEARLY MARKED AND BEARS THE LEBANESE FLAG, NOT HEZBOLLAH'S. THE LEBANESE ARMY HAS NOT YET BECOME INVOLVED IN THE WAR AND THERE WAS NO REASON TO DESTROY THE GOVERNMENT VEHICLE. HEZBOLLAH IS A RESISTANCE ORGANIZATION AND IS NOT UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE GOVERNMENT. THE LEBANESE GOVERNMENT HAS STATED THAT IT MAY ORDER ITS ARMY INTO THE WAR BECAUSE OF THE MASSIVE DAMAGE TO THE NATION'S INFRASTRUCTURE AND THE CIVILIAN CASUALTIES. IF THEY DO, THE WAR WILL ESCALATE.
THE ISRAELIS DO NOT TARGET CIVILIANS? THIS TRUCK OF EVACUEES WAS CERTAINLY TARGETED. THE BOY AND OTHER PASSENGERS WERE KILLED. THIS SCENE IS NOT AN ACCIDENTAL "COLLATERAL DAMAGE". THIS IS NOT IN A POPULATED AREA; IT IS ON A ROADWAY.

BUT THE ISRAELIS DO NOT TARGET CIVILIANS?? WHAT ARE THESE PHOTOS ABOUT, THEN? SURVIVORS OF SOME ATTACKS AVOWED THEY WERE DELIBERATELY TARGETED BY ISRAELI PLANES. SEVERAL AMBULANCES WERE TARGETED, SEE POST BELOW.

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE. IT IS CRIMINAL. IT IS UNCIVILIZED.

PHOSPHORUS WEAPONS ARE HIDEOUS AND INHUMANE. It does not burn like fire; it is a chemical. If any gets on you, even if a mere speck, it burns to the bone. It cannot be extinguished by water or any other means. A large quantity on your head, face, body or limbs burns to the bone and leaves you blackened and charred in appearance. When you see photos of bodies where clean skin is immediately next to a blackened burnt area, you may safely assume it is phosphorus burns. Fire does not leave such clear demarcation lines between clean, white skin and black burnt skin. A fire burn of that intensity will leave adjacent skin at least reddened with a less intense burn injury. Note photo above.

United Nations Peacekeeping Observation Post in Lebanon
UN OBSERVERS ATTACK, DEATHS THREATEN PEACEKEEPING.

Allegedly the peacekeepers had evidence of Israeli atrocities. Reminescent of foreign and independent journalists not embedded in Iraq war being targeted and killed ( their photos, videos, and reports not subject to US supervision and censors) . Four peacekeepers killed.

THESE ARE A NUMBER OF SITES TO CHECK, BUT CHECK THEM IF YOU WANT THE TRUTH. WHEN THEY COME ON TV AND BLANDLY DENY THESE CHARGES, JUST REMEMBER THESE SITES AND ESPECIALLY THE PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF.

I'm sure they do not want the world to know their illegal usage of certain types of weapons. Just as the US did in Iraq, they use weapons banned by the articles of the Geneva Convention and all decent nations everywhere.

Lebanese claim that ambulances were targeted and aid workers injured. They claim that roads were destroyed, they were fired on to prevent them reaching villages to render aid. The Israelis deny this. However, the roof of this ambulance displays proof that it was struck by a missle of some sort, quite precisely in the middle of the red cross, as if the cross was a target.

THE FORTUNATE ONES:
These evacucees managed to escape their towns and villages without being bombed, hit by rockets, or strafed by attacking Israeli air strikes. These people said they fled because of the children. Like parents everywhere, they try to protect their children. Here, a small evacuee scampers to explore the new surroundings, like all curious children of any nationality. Grandmother trails him and keeps him under her watchful eye. These evacuees took refuge in a park, camping out.
The townspeople provide food and water to the evacuees. Citizen resources are finite; without aid organizations managing to get through, these people will soon hunger.

Some take refuge in schools and libraries. They fear to return to their villages. Life continues and laundry must be done, bedding aired.

A wounded child. Will his right eye heal and be as good as his left one? What a sad little face. How can he forget the terror and pain he has endured?

THE HORRORS OF THE TRAGEDIES; THESE DIDN'T ESCAPE THE ATTACKS:
