PHOTO GALLERY # 1; THE SMALLEST, MOST INNOCENT, VULNERABLE, HELPLESS VICTIMS OF WAR. .
I'M TAKING OFF THE KID GLOVES AND TELL IT LIKE IT IS:THIS IS WAR !! YOU ARE TOO SENSITIVE TO VIEW SUCH GRIEVOUS PHOTOS?
THINK ABOUT THE MOTHERS, THE FATHERS, THE FAMILIES , THE NEIGHBORS WHO VIEW THESE HORRORS IN THE FLESH. THINK OF THEIR PAIN AND GRIEF , THEIR LOSS, THEIR TERROR AND IMAGINE IF IT WAS YOU AND YOURS, IF IT WAS YOUR CHILDREN. THEY LOVE THEIR CHILDREN AS DEARLY AS WE LOVE OURS.
LOOK AT THEM!! THIS IS WHAT WE ARE DOING TO THE IRAQI PEOPLE. THE BLOOD OF THESE INNOCENTS ARE SPILLED IN OUR NAME AND IS ON OUR HANDS.
AND ALSO REMEMBER THIS: OUR MEN AND WOMEN OVER THERE SEE THESE ATROCITIES AND WORSE, UP CLOSE AND BLOODY PERSONAL. DO YOU WONDER THAT SO MANY SUFFER FROM PTSD?

An Iraqi mother clutches her children protectively, just as you would your children in the face of death and destruction.
Dead child, an innocent victim of war .
Children not only suffer injuries from war, they are exposed to fear, death,, blood and terrible injuries, horrors that no child should experience.
The name of this small victim of a madman's war, carried by his uncle, is Sabah Salih Jassem. He is a person, just like your child and loved by his family just as you love yours.
Innocent little ones suffering pain and terror, unable to understand what has happened to them.
The pain and suffering of the smallest victims
You would think that this child is dead, except for its upraised, bandaged hands.
Weeping over a child, the most innocent, helpless victim.
Innocent victim of war.
Alive, but with no arms plus a head injury. What future for this innocent child?

Shoegazer brought home pictures like this on his laptop. He and his fellow soldiers took them. My Dad, a WWII Vet who recieved the bronze star, fussed at him for doing it. My mom fussed back at my dad, saying Americans needed to see what war does. My Dad will be 90 in November. My mom is 85.
I know. The older generation did not believe that civilians, especially women, should be exposed to the horrors of war. They accepted it as a part of their duty but tried to shelter the home folks. I understand and appreciate their protectiveness.
However, in this time, with our media reports being so sanitized, deorderized, censorized and Bushized, the home folks truly have no idea what is really going on over there, what our military members experience nor what this war and the subsequent insurgency has done and is doing to the Iraqi people.
I get so frustrated and enraged at the apathy and denial of so many of our people, including some of my relatives. I would like to take these pictures, and the most horrible worst ones, and shove them under their noses and scream THIS IS WAR!! THIS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING!! GET OFF YOUR DEAD BUNS AND TAKE ACTION!! Especially those that hero-worship Bush and think he's a godly man. PUKE!!
But I won't. I love them and don't want to hurt them nor cause them distress. They worry about Gene so much, I cannot add to their fears.

I know exactly how you feel. God do I ever.
I think the apathy comes from the fact that only a few are sacrificing for this crappy war. Most people go about their days not even giving one thought to the war and it's affect on people. That is why I like the idea of deploying the little green soldiers. It will bring the war to mind.
How anybody can continue to think Bush is a godly man is beyond my comprehension. In my world it is more than 29% that support him. Is it Texas? Or is it Houston?

I don't know, Marty. In the country and small towns, "red-neck country", there is considerable support for Bush. I think they get little or no unbiased news and are unaware of what is really going on. They are deceived and deluded.
By the Way, great deployment and posting on Kommandos. I wasn't able to get many photos but did get deployment.
